The relationship between diabetes distress and HbA1C level in type 2 diabetes mellitus therapy patients: a systematic review

Introduction: The success of therapy did not follow the increasing number type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. This systematic review aimed to evaluate relationship between distress and HbA1c in patients during therapy. Methods: authors systematically searched databases (PubMed, Cochrane library, ScienceDirect) up January 2021. Articles were screened according PRISMA 2020 statements. selection criteria this study patients’ characteristics, therapy, outcomes. Results: search started from 1.303 articles 17 eligible articles. Furthermore, seventeen studies included 11,976 mean level was around 6.4% 9.9%. result scores five with low scores, eight moderate two high scores. Emotional burden regimen-related highest domain score. Age, health facilities, affected distress. correlation dominant range 0.15 0.26.
